Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15 in 1961) is an American actor. Known for her work in film and television since the late 1980s she has received various accolades like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was born to her aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. She was born and grew up within New York New York. Her mother split with her father when she was approximately five. Bassett and her younger sister then moved from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was inspired to become an actor after watching the production Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. Yale University New Haven Connecticut granted her a bachelor's degree (1980), in African American study, and an honorary doctorate (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a actress who was a friend of hers. They were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. at Yale's School of Drama. conferred an M.A. in Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett in 1980. The school she attended was the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for 7th graders, Azalea Middle School for the 8th and 9th grade as well as Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the main characters in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
